Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Llech y Drybedd burial chamber, North Pembs. This is an impressive megalithic tomb for which it is well worth the walk (preferably) along a grassy track past Penlan Farm to come suddenly upon, and be awed by, its magnificent setting on a high, bare plateau with sweeping views to Carn Ingli to the SW and Mynydd Preseli to the S. However, it is not visible to or from the sea less than a mile away: this is likely to be deliberate. The name (the spelling varies) means something like Tripod Stone and it does resemble a sturdy milking stool from some angles. According to legend, St Samson threw the stones here from Carn Ingli, to which the capstone points.
