| Description | This little-known location is just screaming out for family shots. If you use a search engine or Google Maps to search for waterfalls in Illinois, this is one of four that I know of that doesn't come up. This is located at Fel-Pro RRR Conservation Area in Cary Illinois. This was my only visit here, so I don't know if this one ever dries up. (The other three are Thunder Bay Falls (spillway) outside Galena, Apple Canyon Lake Waterfall (spillway) also just outside Galena, and Desplaines state fish and wildlife area where Prairie Creek crosses N. River Rd. (on it's way to the nearby Kankakee River) in Wilmington. That last one might seem just a rapids to some, but I think it qualifies as a waterfall. |
