Summary[edit]

Description
English: Lot of my collegues asking me why I'm not protecting lighting devices in dry rooms with residual-current device. Here is the answer to this question:
  • First of all, RCD is required only for lamps installed on altitude below 250cm;
  • Second, RCD is required only for lamps with accessible conductors, like Edison screw;
  • Third, AC-type RCD can't sense DC current leakages in LED lamps.
