Summary[edit]
DescriptionLife, Still Life & River Park House.jpg |
English: 27 September 2013. At the corner of Station Road and High Road Wood Green.
This seems to be one of Haringey's traditional dumping spots. It's directly opposite River Park House; the main office building and nervous centre of the Council's operations. So staff can look out nervously and recite: Oh is the day a searchlight bold Illuminating litter old? Does sunset shine on grubby sea Of rubbish strewn from tree to tree? Do foxes come ere night is born To rip the bags before the dawn? Stands Morrison's clock at ten to three? And on the pavement stacked debris? Of course things have improved a lot since Dilbert Broke wrote his famous poem The Koberage at Woodgreenchester. Though as you can see below, some traditions are still honoured. _______________________________________ § Aerial view of where these photos were taken. |
