A la suite du coup de force japonais du 9 au soir, les bureaux de postes sont fermés du 10 au 16 mars. Les Japonais maintiennent les règlements français, il s'en suit que les conséquences postales sont limitées. Néanmoins, le courrier civil ordinaire en instance lors du coup d'Etat est, dans sa quasi totalité, détruit. Certaines lettres restées "en souffrance" seront distribuées en septembre après la capitulation japonaise. Lettre pour Poulo Condore bloquée Lettre pour un prisonnier à Poulo-Condore oblitérée Saigon 28/2/45 , bloquée à cause du coup de force japonais et distribuée uniquement en septembre avec la griffe de propagande contre le retour des "oppresseurs" étrangers apposée à cette époque à Sài Gòn. Le courrier recommandé administratif est retourné à l'envoyeur après censure. Le courrier recommandé privé est détruit. Les timbres-poste et les timbres-à-date postaux d'Indochine restent en service. Le courrier avec l'étranger, et les télégrammes privés (intérieurs et vers l'étranger) sont interdits. |
