Français : 2 AOÛT 1945 :

Les Japonais sentant la guerre perdue, soutiennent à fond les indépendantistes vietnamiens. Dès le 1er août, ils annoncent la création d'un Viêt-Nam indépendant. Ils souhaitent placer sur le trône Cung-De, nettement plus pro-japonais que Bảo Đại. A Sài-Gòn, une griffe linéaire 47 x 5 mm «VIET-NAM DOC-LAP» [Indépendance du Viêt-Nam] (Desrousseaux-J10) est apposée quelques heures le 2 août sur les timbres en pseudo surcharge ainsi que sur les lettres.

Lettre du 2 août. Verso. Lettre (réparée) de Sài Gòn pour Klong Traou en Annam, oblitérée au départ Saigon 26/5/45, arrivée à Hué le 26/6/45 où elle est refoulée (griffe "retour à l'envoyeur") par la censure de la Kempetai (gendarmerie japonaise). En effet les Françias avaient été concentrés dans les grandes villes et le destinataire ne pouvait être joint à Klong Traou.

La lettre revient à Sài Gòn le 1er août 1945 et reçoit le lendemain la griffe "VIETNAM DOC LAP" (seul jour d'utilisation avant la capitulation) et le pseudo Daguin "Nguoi / VIET-NAM / Phai-dung-Tieng / VIET-NAM" (Vietnamiens, n'écrivez qu'en Vietnamien !) apposés par le Viet-Minh qui a pris en main le service postal.

Puces de censure "C5" utilisée à l'aller par les Japonais à Sài Gòn et puce de censure "D1" utilisées par le Vietminh au retour.
