Mrs. Mary Pilkington was shot and killed in a restaurant here early Monday by her husband Lester Pilkington a barber who then committed suicide. According to the proprietor of the restaurant who witnessed the shooting Pilkington entered and demanded that his wife produce their marriage certificate. She refused and during a quarrel that followed, Pilkington drew a pistol and fired five shots at her, killing her instantly. He then turned the gun on himself. The couple came here six weeks ago from Oklahoma.
