Description
English: ORIGINAL CAPTION: Jeffrey Ho, a member of the library staff at D.O.T. headquarters, was on hand for official opening of the new National Library building at Ottawa recently and took this picture of a smiling Prime Minister Pearson just after he cut the ribbon and declared the handsome new building open. Assisting the Prime Minister were former Transport Minister J. W. Pickersgill and Mrs. Ellen Fairclough, who was Secretary of State at the time plans for the library were initiated.
