Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Lead has been used in gasoline during a long time. Research has shown that children are very vulnerable to the toxic effects of the lead, including deficits in attention span, adaptability, learning, and memory and behavioral problems (increases in aggression...). Even low levels of lead exposure can result in decreased performance on memory and intelligence tests. In adults lead give an increased risk of high blood pressure, impaired kidney function, fertility problems, and cataracts.
