Le parterre central : le tapis vert, conçu par Le Nôtre vu depuis le château de Sceaux Cette vue montre le savoir-faire de Le Nôtre qui a su modeler le terrain et utiliser au mieux les dénivelées pour mettre en valeur la composition des plantations et produire des effets d'optique favorables à sa beauté. Le domaine de Sceaux est né à la fin du 17e s, sous la commande de Colbert, puis de son fils, le Marquis de Seignelay.
