Vue du chantier de l'Humboldt-Forum (façade sud-ouest) au bord d'un bras de la Spree. L'entrée de l'établissement sera sous la coupole en construction Le Palais royal de Berlin (Berliner Schloss), a été très endommagé lors de la seconde guerre mondiale. Il a été totalement détruit le 7 septembre 1950 sur décision de Walter Ulbricht (RDA). En remplacement de cet édifice, le Palais de la République (aujourd'hui détruit) avait été construit sur la partie nord de l'emplacement du château. Le palais de la République en 2004 (photo dalbera) <a href="http://jpadalbera.free.fr/berlin/alexander/pages/vue_marx.html" rel="nofollow">jpadalbera.free.fr/berlin/alexander/pages/vue_marx.html</a> Le Forum Humboldt, établissement culturel comprenant un musée d'ethnologie, un musée d'art asiatique, un espace d'exposition temporaire et divers autres équipements devrait être terminé d'ici 2019-2020. Les deux musées étaient jusqu'à présent dans le quartier Dahlem de Berlin, ils sont aujourd'hui fermés au public, car en cours de déménagement. A l'occasion de la construction du nouveau bâtiment, trois façades baroques, la coupole et une des cours du Palais Royal sont reconstruites à l'identique. Les restes de l'ancien Palais Royal seront visibles dans les sous-sols du Forum Humboldt. L'architecte du nouveau bâtiment est l'italien Franco Stella. L'Humboldt-Box, est un petit édifice, installé en mai 2011 du coté nord-ouest, dans le but d'informer le public sur le projet d'Humboldt-Forum (maquette du quartier du château en 1900, photos d'archives, histoire de l'édifice, boutique, restaurant, terrasses...) et de présenter des expositions de préfiguration. <a href="http://humboldt-box.com/en_US/" rel="nofollow">humboldt-box.com/en_US/</a> Photo Annie Dalbéra |
