Title
late medieval copper-alloy buckle
Description
English: A complete late medieval copper-alloy buckle dating to the period c.1350-1400.

The D-shaped frame with a projection from the straight bar. Objects of this type have sometimes been called 'swivels' and this projection would be consistent with that interpretation. Opposite the projection, on the curve of the buckle there is a knop which is separated from the frame by a collar.

See C. Marshall (1986: 12) Type IVC.
