English: Maj. Gen. Rodney Anderson (2nd from right), deputy commanding general, XVIII Airborne Corps, and members from the 82nd Airborne Division command team, shake hands with paratroopers from the 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, as they arrive at Pope Army Airfield for a welcome home ceremony upon returning from Operation New Dawn, Iraq, Nov. 8. As the last unit in Baghdad, the 2/82 has been responsible for enabling the withdrawal of U.S. Military Forces and the transition of U.S. relations with Iraq to the U.S. State Department. |
