A. Según el grado de intervención: 1. Especialidades clínicas y diagnósticas: si no realizan operaciones, cirugías o intervenciones terapéuticas, aunque estas sean mínimamente invasivas. 2. Especialidades clínicoquirúrgicas: si combinan tratamientos clínicos y quirúrgicos como estrategias terapéuticas. 3. Especialidades quirúrgicas: si realizan tratamientos eminentemente quirúrgicos como estrategias terapéuticas. B. Según la edad o sexo de sus pacientes: 1. Niños y Adolescentes: Pediatría y Cirugía Pediátrica 2. Adultos: Medicina Interna 3. Ancianos: Geriatría 4. Mujeres: Ginecología C. Según los aparatos o sistemas: 1. Angiología y Cirugía Vascular 2.
