| Description | Large rock called rip-rap is delivered to a critical erosion site under repair along the American River’s south bank near Watt Avenue in Sacramento, Calif., Nov. 18, 2011. After the rock is placed below and above the water line, crews will add sturdier soil and native plantings along the bank.
