Summary[edit]

Description
English: Grottes de Calès near Lamanon (Bouches-du-Rhône department, Provence, France): Detail of man-made steps in a large block of stone near the entrance of the grottes area. The steps have been eroded and softened by the centuries, making them vague and gentle like some natural structure.

Black-and-white photograph taken with a twin-lens reflex Yashica camera (Yashica-Mat 124?); image file scanned from a self-made print.

This crop emphasizes the resemblance to a human face. Are the pine needles eyelashes fallen out or do they mimic scratches in the skin?
