| Description |
English: Lagoons, Newbridge Quarry. The present summit of the waste deposit on the Rixey Park claypit site (provisional name) reveals all the paraphernalia of settlement lagoons, which must serve the Newbridge clay quarry, extreme right and mostly in this square 1654759.
The view looks across the tree-planted bund, the River Teign and the Twinyeo Farm site. The lagoons or the roads around them are marked by red-and-white striped poles and load-height gauges, as elsewhere. Beyond them is the River Bovey into which, presumably, the clean water is passed. The scene is overlooked by the hill of waste north of Brocks Farm 1660161. |
