Lady trekker at Annapurna Base Camp.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: At almost every high altitude mountainous areas these colorful buddhist flags are kept , which are called " torang" in local language.

These torangs were hanged at the Annapurna Base Camp for the peace in that areas and also for the good will of the mountains climbers. The mountain climbers usually worship the torang and pray to God for there safety. As asked to the locals , they informed us that if anyone go across the hanged torang , they are considered to have climbed the peak , that usually means that torang are the borders where the actual mountains begins.

We were willing to meet some mountains climbers there but unfortunately , it wasn't the season to ascend to the mountains.
