Ad esse allude il Vasarinella vita di Dello, quando parla dei dipinti per mobili coloritiad olio e racchiusi in cornici intagliate e dorate, venuti di modaa suoi tempi. Con Andrea del Sarto e la sua scuola si chiudeonorevolmente la serie dei pittori di mobili fioriti a Firenze. 1 Nella tavola di Francesco Granacci rappresentante lingresso di Car-lo Vili in Firenze (fig. 97), questa mancanza di sincerità è meno sensibileche in altri dipinti della scuola. Si vede che lautore non aveva ancora deltutto dimenticato gli ammaestramenti del Ghirlandaio, suo primo maestro ;né daltra parte egli poteva permettersi troppe licenze nel rappresentare unavvenimento contemporaneo e presente alla memoria di tutti.
