Description
Français : Photographie de trois aras bleus (Ara ararauna) et d'un Ara macao (Ara macao), prise au Zoo de la Palmyre.

Ara bleu est un grand perroquet dont la zone de distribution s'étend en Amérique Centrale et Amérique du Sud, en particulier du Panama au Nord du Paraguay. Il affectionne les forêts humides, la savanes et les zones découvertes comme les marais et les abords de l'eau.

Le Ara macao est un grand perroquet coloré qui habite dans les forêts humides tropicales américaines, de l'est du Mexique à l'Amazonie péruvienne et brésilienne, depuis les terres basses et jusqu'à 500 m d'altitude.
