Datos de la Luna cuando los astronautas aún se encontraban en su superficie (22:00 hs UTC).

En las coordenadas lunares del alunizaje, Mar de la Tranquilidad, 0° 40′ 27″ N y 23° 28′ 23″ E, y con una longitud y latitud selenográfica terrestre: -7° 11’ 20,91” y 1° 50’ 7,53” (ver imagen), la Tierra tuvo una altura sobre el plano horizontal lunar de 73° 42' y un azimut de 266° 22'.

La Tierra en la fase opuesta a la lunar, es decir días antes de su "Cuarto Menguante" (equivalente al área oscura de la fase lunar), con un 66% de su superficie iluminada. La Luna, también días antes de su "Cuarto Creciente" (22.07.1969 a las 11:53 hs UTC), con un 34% de fracción iluminada.

Recordar que la Tierra, observada desde un lugar en la Luna, mantiene su posición en el cielo selenita dentro de un sector elíptico de 14° x 13° debido a las libraciones lunares ("bamboleo") en latitud y en longitud (ver imagen).
