Summary[edit]
DescriptionLGDPickupLineCaught.jpg |
New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina: In one of the better functioning parts of town that escaped flooding, the Lower Garden District neighborhood of Uptown, storm aftermath still affects life. Here a pickup truck got caught on one of the numerous downed power or telephone lines still in city streets. I saw the truck snag the line while in motion and get suddenly yanked to a stop with a cartoonish "boink!" shortly before I took this photo. Here the vehicle occupants and passers by attempt to detangle the line. Felicity Methodist Church visible just back on the street.
