Description
English: George A. Lucas, William Walters' art agent in Paris, delivered a plaster cast of Antoine Louis Barye's hand to the artist and Barye collector Léon Bonnat in April 1897. The following November, Lucas urged Bonnat to paint the image of the cast onto this partially cleaned palette, which had once belonged to Barye.
