Description Sketch drawn by Japanese Vice Admiral Koso Abe's staff officer, Koichi Hiyashi, of the execution site on southwest Kwajalein for the nine U.S. Marines captured after the Makin Raid in August 1942. The Marines were executed on Abe's orders on 16 October, 1942.
