| Description | Two U.S. Navy McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron 86 (VFA-86) "Sidewinders", foreground, and VFA-82 "Marauders" in flight with three Douglas A-4KU Skyhawks from the Air Force of Kuwait. VFA-82 and VFA-86 were assigned Carrier Air Wing 1 (CVW-1) aboard the aircraft carrier USS America (CV-66) for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean from 2 December 1991 to 6 June 1992. America transited the Suez Canal on 26 February and on 22 May 1992. |
