| Description |
Day Three on MS Trollfjord ... Today we carried on north up and around to Kirkenes. The temperature grew colder, although up until Kirkenes it was still not too raw. The ship made three short stops during the night and early morning, at Båtsfjord, Vardø and Vadsø. We drew into Kirkenes at 09:00, just after breakfast. We had until 12:30 to explore the town. Excursions were offered at all the longer stops, but they were a little out of our budget ... there was plenty to see at each stop anyway. At Kirkenes there was the chance to see the border with Russia, which is only a few miles away. Another excursion was to see the Snow Hotel ... that would have been quite interesting. One for next time! |
