Summary[edit]

Description
English: Pictured are two female members of The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery finishing their duties as the Queen’s Life Guard for another year.

Each year the men and women of Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery provide The Queen's Life Guard while the Household Cavalry are on their summer camp.

The Queen's Life Guard is normally provided by members of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment which consists of a Squadron of The Life Guards, and a Squadron of The Blues and Royals.

Life Guards have stood guard at Horse Guards, the official entrance to St James and Buckingham Palace, since the Restoration of King Charles II in 1660.
