English: Kier safety zone sign, Albany Street, Newport Work on levelling the former gas works site at Crindau, adjacent to Albany Street, is under way.
A Sainsbury's superstore is to be built here : expected opening in autumn 2010. The Kier safety notice states that hard hats and safety footwear must be worn, and informs parents that building sites are hazardous - please keep your children away. High metal fences topped with spikes surround the perimeter to encourage children - and any other unauthorised persons - to remain outside the site.
