Description
English: Monument on the south wall of the south chapel of the parish church of St Mary the Virgin, Kidlington, Oxfordshire. It commemorates John Collier Jones, who was absentee Rector of Kidlington for 21 years. The inscription says he was born in Plympton, Devon on 7 October 1770 and died in Oban, Argyll, on 6 August 1838. The monument was origianlly in Exeter College, Oxford, but was moved to St Mary's in 1862.
