| Description |
English: Built circa 1800, this Federal-style building was constructed to serve as the Kennett Tavern, and is the oldest brick building in Falmouth. The building is clad in red flemish bond brick with a side-gable roof, rough-hewn stone base, six-over-nine, two-over-two, and four-over-four double-hung windows, door openings with transoms, and a gabled rear ell. The building is a contributing structure in the Central Falmouth Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The building was restored between 1990 and 1998 by the local community, and today serves as a municipal building for the city of Falmouth. |
