Summary[edit]

Description Bronze statue of boys leap frogging. Situated in Julianaplantsoen in Heemstede, the Netherlands, across from Heemstede library. Artist Kees Verkade created this statue in 1968, and the refusal of the Heemstede burgemeester to attend the unveiling ceremony made national news. The statue's faces were painted orange when the Dutch won a soccer final in 1988.
