| Description |
English: Keeping an eye on things This is the lock-keeper's base at Marsh Lock, just upstream of Henley. Each Thames lock has something similar, from where the lock-keeper (properly called the weir-keeper) can manage operations. Above the lock a much grander building keeps an eye on all the proceedings too. |
