Description
فارسی: ارگ کریم خانی در مرکز شهر شیراز قرار دارد. این ارگ در دوره سلطنت سلسله زندیه ساخته شده‌است و پس از اینکه کریم خان زند شیراز را به عنوان پایتخت خود و این مکان را به‌عنوان مکان زندگی خود انتخاب کرد، به ارگ کریم خانی معروف شد. در زمان سلطنت سلسله پهلوی از ارگ به‌عنوان زندان استفاده شد که آسیب‌هایی به آن وارد شده‌است. در سال ۱۳۵۰ این ارگ به اداره فرهنگ و هنر وقت واگذار شد. این بنای بزرگ اکنون زیر نظر سازمان میراث فرهنگی جمهوری اسلامی ایران اداره می‌شود و از چند سال پیش کار مرمت این بنا آغاز شده‌است تا به عنوان موزه بزرگ فارس مورد استفاده قرار گیرد. این اثر در تاریخ ۱۴ خرداد ۱۳۵۱ با شمارهٔ ثبت ۹۱۸ به‌عنوان یکی از آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسیده‌است.
