[Det gjengitte bilde her er fotografiet fra 1862 nr. 1006.] Kaptein Kaald var en av de mest vellykkede norske kaperkapteinene under Napoleonskrigene. Han var flere ganger på tokt fra 1808 til 1814, og satt fengslet i Edinburgh i to år. Hans tokt med skipet Anna Bruun i 1813 gjorde ham til en meget rik mann. Paul Andreas Kaald was one of the most successful Norwegian privateers during the Napoleonic Wars. He was active on several ships between 1808 - 1814 and was imprisoned in Edinburgh for two years. In 1813 he collected several prizes with the ship Anna Bruun, making him a wealthy man. |
