Description
English: The scientists of the Institute of Hydrobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine during complex research in overgrown and non-overgrown with higher aquatic vegetation areas of Kaniv Reservoir measured the flow velocity using the OTT MF pro Water Flow Meter. The results of research show that in overgrown areas the flow velocity did not exceed 1 cm/s or even reached 0. In contrast to the non-overgrown with higher aquatic vegetation areas of the reservoir, the values of this indicator increased with increasing wind. These studies were carried out during the expedition to the Kaniv Reservoir as part of the research project "The impact of overgrown reservoirs with higher aquatic plants on flowering processes and fish productivity".
