Description
English: Aerial picture of middle and stern section of heavy cruiser Kako. Patton (page 12) claims that this picture was made in 1940 but there are two Kawanishi E7K2 embarked (according to Lacroix's Japanese Cruisers of the Pacific War Kako had only one E7K2 accompanied by one E8N1 between February 1939 and November 1941). Mark Stille (in Squadron Signal's Japanese Heavy Cruisers of World War II in action page 15) claims it was 1941 and according to Lacroix Kako had two white bands on forward funnel in the period between September 1941 and November 15, 1941. Therefore it seems that the picture was probably taken in early November 1941.
Mark Stille (v Japanese Heavy Cruisers of World War II in action, str.
