Description
English: Kahramanmaras Castle is on a man-made hill in the city center of Kahramanmaraş. The castle, which has undergone many repairs until today, is thought to have been built between the BC. 1. and the 2nd century AD. It has an almost rectangular plan , 150x75 m. in size. Part of the castle walls and three bastions have been repaired. Taking pictures of the defensive works as such was blocked by vegetation, I mainly took pictures of the view of the town. This is a famous Atatürk portrait, "walking in deep thought during the Straits defence".
