Description

"Just for a moment" by Erik Pevernagie, oil on canvas x<be>

The 'genius' of the moment has the perk to spark a deflagration of ecstasy and a gust of inspiration and, in its aftermath, ease the turbulent underswell of conflicting hassles.

Let the dark horses of passion emerge from the night of our secret dreams, give voice to the appeals of our authentic being, and fly on the wings of our inspiration.

If memorable settings do not ring any bells anymore in the twisting lobes of our memory or do not raise a single tingling in our emotions, let us then rethink things to re-invent ourselves and find out what killed the vital air of our recollection.

Life is merely a series of moments and is an unflinching serial killer since it kills steadily each moment, one after the other. Memory is the only survivor.

When one has come to explore the 'instant moment' and chosen to savor the delights of life, hiding behind the curtain of haste and superficiality, 'mental time' is replacing 'sequential time.' So, 'here' and 'now' keep hustle and impatience in check.

Eventually, chronological time turns into psychological time.

From our time perception chronology, we keep storing enticing instants of our life story. They are ceaselessly abounding in our minds. As they emerge like lucky sparkles, we hold them dearly in the treasury of our remembrance.

Let us piggyback off every lucky instant's inspiration if we wish to light up the dim specks of our life and ease the thunderous crashing of destiny.

While focusing on the present moment, we soothe our minds and construe our intuition and inner wisdom. Our mindfulness allows us to access lower levels of awareness and gain insight into our reflections and emotions. At the same time, it lessens overthinking and anxiety.

Boots are silent witnesses of the fleeting time of our history. ("These boots are made for walking. And that's just what they'll do." - Lee Hazlewood)
