Este edificio albergó a sucesivas generaciones de orfebres de la familia Pallarols que, oriunda de Cataluña, España, llegó al país a principios del siglo XIX. Hoy ocupa el atelier Juan Carlos, nacido en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, quien constituye la sexta generación en el oficio. Este prestigioso orfebre cincela obras maestras en plata, oro, piedras preciosas y bronce, y su trabajo es reconocido en todo el mundo. Destacadas personalidades extranjeras recibieron sus piezas: el Papa Juan Pablo II, la Princesa Diana de Inglaterra, la Reina Máxima de los Países Bajos y los príncipes herederos de la Corona de España. Desde hace 70 años la familia Pallarols confecciona el bastón de mando presidencial de la República Argentina, que se realiza en plata y madera de urunday, un árbol autóctono.

This building housed successive generations of goldsmiths from the Pallarols family who, originally from Catalonia, Spain, arrived in the country at the beginning of the 19th century. Today Juan Carlos occupies the atelier, born in the Province of Buenos Aires, who is the sixth generation in the trade. This prestigious goldsmith chisels masterpieces in silver, gold, precious stones and bronze, and his work is recognized throughout the world. Outstanding foreign personalities received their pieces: Pope John Paul II, Princess Diana of England, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and the Crown Princes of Spain. For 70 years, the Pallarols family has been making the presidential baton of the Argentine Republic, which is made of silver and urunday wood, a native tree. |
