Summary[edit]

Description
English: Joseph Izod's finger post. The oldest known surviving finger post in England (probably a reproduction.) Erected by Joseph Izod in 1669 at the junction of (what is now) the A44 and the B4081. The direction arms are high off the ground so they can be easily read by stagecoach drivers.
