Description
Čeština: Plukovník Josef Churavý (* 1894 – † 1942) (brigádní generál in memoriam). Příslušník československých legií v Rusku. Za protektorátu byl jednou z nejvýznamnějších postav II. odboje, kde působli jako čelný představitel ilegální vojenské odboové organizace "Obrana národa". Spolupracovník zpravodajsko - sabotážní skupiny "Tři králové" (Balabán, Mašín, Morávek). Na blíže nedatové fotografii (z rozmezí let 1915 až 1917) pořízené neznámým fotografem během pobytu v Rusku sedí Josef Churavý na koni jako třetí zleva. Snímek nalezený v pozůstalosti po synech Josefa Churavého.
English: Colonel Josef Churavý (* 1894 – † 1942) (Brigadier General in memoriam). A member of the Czechoslovak legions in Russia. In time of the protectorate was one of the most important persons of anti-nazi resistance. He worked as the leading representative of the illegal military organization "Defence of the Nation". Coworker of the intelligence - sabotage group named "Three Kings" (Balabán, Mašín, Morávek). On the photo (from between the years 1915 - 1917) taken by an unknown photographer (during the stay in Russia) sits Josef Churavý on the horse as the thir person from the left side. The photo was found in the estate of the sons of Josef Churavý.
