Line drawing of the homes of w:John Plankinton (on the left) and his son w:William Plankinton (on the right), as they appeared in 1886. The drawing was lifted from Buck (1886, p. 178), which is no longer under copyright as it was published in the U.S. well before 1923, and is available online having been digitised by the Internet Archive in 2008. The image was extracted from a PDF of the book by w:user:EdChem and uploaded the same day, 27 January 2017. A JPG version of the image has also been uploaded, w:File:John Plankinton and William Plankinton mansions in 1886.jpg, to see which is better suited for use on WP. |
