Gen. John F. Pierson. New York; December 31, 1932 (AP) Brig. Gen. John Fred Pierson, the last surviving general of the Civil war in New York died Tuesday night at the age of 93. Gen Pierson was attached to the army of the Potomac and fought at most of its battles.
