Summary[edit]

Description
English: Jestu symbol: In Canaanite Neopaganism, the "Jestu" represents the sun (the word "Jes" is Phoenician for sun). The symbol is based on an ancient "Baal" symbol, and is depicted as a upward cresent moon, or horns. Both the Yahtu and Jestu are commonly depicted with a solar disk between the points. Commonly, the sun (Jestu) is associated with the male, and the moon (Yahtu) is associated with the female, however, they are not gender specific.
