Thequiet of good judgment has never before appearedso exquisite and so intimate. Before this tomb thefuture of the more mystic religions seems less assured.What they teach is also taught here, and taughtboth more efficaciously and simply. It is in thisage-long silence that one learns something of thenecessity to free ones mind from the chimerical,to maintain in the face of the unknown a dis-passionate and fearless attitude, and to live in thesociety of ones fellow-men with an incorruptiblemeasure and harmony.
