Object type painting
object_type QS:P31,Q3305213
Description
Polski: Według teologii katolickiej Maria mocą Bożą została „wzięta do nieba” podobnie jak Henoch i Eliasz. W centrum kompozycji Matka Boska unoszona na sierpie księżyca podtrzymywanego przez małe aniołki. Maria zwrócona przodem do widza trzyma w ręku lilię. Ponad nią Trójca Święta: Bóg Ojciec, Chrystus Syn Boży, gołąb symbol Ducha Świętego. W zwieńczeniu główki i postaci aniołków. U dołu, pod stopami Marii postaci świętych. Obraz nawiązuje kompozycją do sceny „Koronacji Matki Boskiej” Rubensa z Musee de Bruxelles w Brukseli. Obraz utrzymany w ciepłych tonacjach, malowany przez Matejkę swobodnymi pociągnięciami pędzla.
