Deutsch: James Gillray (1757–1815) nach David Hess (1770–1843): "The Political See-Saw / Die politische Schauckel". Thema: Bonaparte spielt Schweizer Aristokraten und Demokraten gegeneinander aus und annektiert den Kanton Wallis, der zur République rhodanienne und 1810 zum Département du Simplon wird. Eingezeichnet sind Martigny (Martinach) als Ausgangspunkt des Grossen Sankt-Bernhard-Passes und Mailand als Hauptstadt der Italienischen Republik. Radierung, handkoloriert, auf Velin, 30.5 x 23.4 cm.
