English: Shows the St. Charles Hotel at 81 S. Washington St. (built in 1889), the Seattle Brass Foundry at the foot of Jackson St, and the Academy of the Holy Names (on the horizon) on the east side of 9th Ave., between Jackson St. and King St.

The Oregon Improvement Company went bankrupt in 1895 and was succeeded by the Pacific Coast Company.
