Notes | Royal Marines Light Infantry Regiment was first raised in 1664-1689 as the Lord Admiral's Maritime Regiment. The R.M.L.I. were in being from 1855-1923 and the R.M.A. from 1859 to 1923. In 1923 they were amalgamated to form the Corps of Royal Marines. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
