Description
English: PACIFIC OCEAN (July 14, 2010) - A visit, board, search and seizure team from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer JS Akebono (DD-108) boards a rigid-hull inflatable boat from the littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS-1) during a maritime security exercise. Akebono and Freedom are participating in Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2010, a biennial, multinational exercise designed to strengthen regional partnerships and improve interoperability.
